Broham is a blend of Rock, Blues, Americana and Soul music. Steve Sutherby and Tyler Charles Allen formed the group in 2018 out in West Sonoma County California. Steve had Tyler open for his band at a Sonoma County Parks event in 2017 which was where they really connected musically. Later that year Tyler booked some gigs at a place called Barley n Hops in Occidental and invited Steve to sit in. Immediately they hit it off again playing a ton of covers they both new. Everything for REM to the Stanley Brothers to Clapton to Chris Cornell. It just seemed to make sense and shortly after they began booking as a duo. Steve Sutherby is an accomplished studied guitarist who’s played in numerous rock and blues projects and holds a degree in classical guitar. He hails from Boston and has made Northern California his home for the last 30 years or so. Tyler Charles Allen is songwriter and singer who grew up in Seattle during its rock hay day. He’s played in bands from punk rock to soul and everything in between. He moved to Sonoma county in 2005 and has continued to write and play regularly. His rhythm guitar and singing help to round out Broham’s sound. Together these two shreditate and jam through covers and originals they both love. They have patented a sound all of there own. It’s bluesy soulful rockin southern style with an almost alternative edge. They are adding band members, including Michael Kane on Fiddle and Mandolin and Vocals, and growing their craft as they explore this musical bromance called Broham.
